Japanese Sandwich

Ingredient: 4 servings
  • 12oz thinly-sliced beef
  • 3 Tbsp dried Hijiki
  • 1 Baguette (or roll bread)
  • 4 slices cheese
  • 4 Tbsp Dashi Soy
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil

Preparation
  1. Soak Hijiki for at least 15 minutes to soften, then drain.
  2. Slice baguette lengthwise on one side, and scoop out some of the bread to make a pocket.
  3. Gently fry Hijiki in oil. Transfer to a plate, and then fry the beef.
  4. When the beef loses its redness, return Hijiki to the fry pan and add the Dashi Soy and Sugar.
  5. Carefully stuff the heated mixture into the baguette, and top with cheese.

Simple Roast Beef

Simple Roast Beef

Ingredient: 4 servings
  • 28 oz Roast Beef
  • Ingredients A
  • 2 Tsp Grated Garlic
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Ingredients B
  • 4 Tbsp Dashi Soy
  • 3 Tbsp Water
  • 2 Tsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 5 Mushrooms
  • Water Cress and French Fries as you like

Preparation
  1. Combine well-mixed Ingredients A with roast beef, leave for 10 minutes, and cook lightly in a pan. After taking out the roast beef , stir-fry the mushroom that was cut in four.
  2. Put the roast beef in deep heat resistant container and heat in a 1000W microwave without a top for 2 minutes . Flip roast beef over and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Wrap (2) tightly with saran wrap and then wrap again in aluminum foil. Leave at room temperature for 30 minutes and let steam until the middle is medium done.
  4. Put the juice from the meat and Ingredients B in a pan and cook lightly to make a gravy sauce.
  5. Put the thinly –sliced roast beef on a plate, pour the gravy sauce over it and arrange the mushrooms, water cress, and french fries around it.
